The history of Edinburgh is rich and bloody. The most significant local attraction is Edinburgh Castle, which used to be a milestone in a constant battle between the English and the Scotts for the right to possess it. Today, the castle has turned into a tourist attraction, but it still houses the Stone of Destiny, used for the English monarchs' coronation.
